Replenish FAQ

I would like to know more about a particular IV. Where can I find more information?

You can call us or come in and our medical staff will be happy to show you what goes inside each IV, how the IV works as well as describe what any individual IV component does. We believe it is your right to to both know and to understand what you are putting into your body.

__________

How long does an IV take?

Depending on your body, (size of veins, hydration level etc) an IV therapy session can take up to 60 minutes. With good veins an IV can be completed in as little as 30 minutes.

__________

How do I know which IV is best for me?

After discussing your medical history and health goals, our team can work with you to find the perfect treatment to match your needs.

__________

Is IV therapy a good option for everyone?

IV therapy is a good option for many, but not all. Our therapies are not suitable for young children, those who are pregnant, those with congestive heart failure, kidney disease or kidney damage, liver disease or liver damage or those on dialysis. There are also certain conditions, such as allergies, that would make administration of certain IV ingredients not suitable. Our team will discuss your medical history with you prior to IV administration in order to ensure you have a pleasant and more importantly safe experience with us.

__________

Can I change what is in my IV? I do not want an ingredient....

Yes. If you have concerns about a component in our IVs we can remove that component.  We also have options to allow you to add-on components as long as they are compatible with the IV. Our team will always double-check to ensure compatibility prior to administration.

__________

I am pregnant/breastfeeding. Is there anything I can have?

Many ingredients in an IV that Mom has will cross through the placenta to the baby/cross through to the baby when breastfeeding. So while there is some evidence that the IVs we offer at Replenish are safe for children, newborn and infants, we feel that there is not enough good evidence about appropriate dosing for mothers and mothers-to-be. Therefore we will not adminster any sort of medicated IVs to those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Sorry!

__________

How often am I able to receive IV therapies?

We recommend no more than one IV or IM therapy per week.

__________

What advantages does IV therapy have to offer?

First, IV administration ensures 100% or near 100% absorption of the amino acids, vitamins, antioxidants and minerals in our products. This matters because when we get our nutrients by ingesting them whether by food or by pill, those nutrients go through our first pass metabolism, which reduces the amount of nutrient that actually gets to our body. For example, you can get glutathione from eating almonds, avocados and tumeric, but when you ingest glutathione you lose between 70-90% of it due to the first pass metabolism. With IV administration you will get near-100% of the glutathione in the IV. The second advantage an IV brings is that we can deliver those nutrients and hydration quickly. The third major benefit is that we can configure the IV to your needs. Our team has worked to create therapies for maximizing immune system performance, hydration, wound healing, mental clarity, physical performance and more.

__________

Do I need an appointment?
