Citrulline is a non-essential amino acid that was original discovered in watermelon. Citrulline is used by the urea cycle of the body to help get rid of harmful substances such as ammonia. While inside the body citrulline is also converted into arginine and thus helps with vasodilation and increased athletic performance.
