Vitamins
Vitamins are essential nutrients that our bodies require to survive. Essential means that our bodies either cannot create these nutrients at all or we make them in greatly insufficient amounts therefore they must be consumed through diet or through supplementation. The vitamins we help provide at Replenish are a variety of B-vitamins and ascorbic acid, more commonly known as Vitamin C.
B-vitamins are a class of water-soluble vitamins that all play important roles in cellular metabolism, production of energy and the creation of red blood cells. They also all play roles as antioxidants within the body. Finally, each B vitamin plays it's own individual role (for more information click on the tabs to the right). There are eight B-vitamins in total, labeled as Vitamin B1-B12 or labelled with their individual names.

You may see that there are missing some numbers, such as B4, B8, B10 and B11. This is because the substances originally thought to be those vitamins were later discovered to not actually be vitamins and are now classified differently.
Add-Ons
Replenish offers several items that don't fit into the categories of vitamin, amino acid or mineral. These items are classified here alongside our IV fluid.

Minerals
Minerals are inorganic nutrients that the body uses to perform essential functions within the body. They are split into two categories, macrominerals and microminerals.
Macrominerals include magnesium and calcium. Macrominerals are considered essential, which means our body needs to consume enough of them through food or supplementation or risk injury or death.

Microminerals which include copper, manganese and zinc. These are also referred to as trace minerals or trace elements. We do not need these trace minerals in high amounts like we require macrominerals. Trace minerals can be classified as nutritionally essential, may be essential or non-essential. All of the minerals provided by Replenish are classified as nutritionally essential. For more information on our minerals, click on the tabs to the right.
Amino Acids
Amino acids are organic molecules that are used by the body for a wide array of specialized purposes. Most amino acids are used as building blocks to create specialized proteins and neurotransmitters, such as dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin and endorphins. Each amino acid often has its own purpose outside of protein synthesis as well.

Some amino acids are not used for protein synthesis, for example, taurine. For more information on the amino acids offered by Replenish, click on a tab to the right.
